Relaxing in a lounger under the French summer sun
Smelling sweet scents of lavender, jasmin and roses
feeling the winds of the Provence on my skin
I open my eyes and find myself in a charming contemporary B&B in the Provence
I breathe peace and comfort
In the most beautiful part of Provence – le parc naturel régional du Luberon – Veerle and Wim, a Belgian couple, created a modern boutique B&B in their dream house. It is called Villa Vagabonde. A simple, yet elegant place will assure you a memorable stay.
BYOND TRAVELING rating – ★★★★★
For whom?
Perfect for couples who search the tranquility in the countryside of the Provence. For lovers of minimalism and modern style combined with the old.
When to go?
MaThe best time to visit the Provence is around June/July when the lavender blossoms. Though we have been told many times that fall in Provence is one of the world’s best kept secrets.

Location ★★★★★
IVilla Vagabonde is situated in ‘the golden triangle’, formed by the picturesque villages Bonnieux, Ménerbes and Gordes, from which you can visit the whole region. To the picturesque town Gordes it is just a 15 minutes walk.
Amenities ★★★★★
The B&B has only 3 rooms which are decorated with a light and airy touch and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. Superb twin beds, walk-in shower, TV, WIFI, hairdryer, luxury towels etc. etc. You will also discover a charming small garden with a pool and a poolhouse. Bikes are made available for tours in the area.
Kitchen ★★★★☆
We were having breakfast viewing the valley of the lavenders every morning. Wim and Veerle offered typical French breakfast: cappuccinos, croissants, bread, butter, cheese, cold cuts as well as a collection of jams.

Sustainability ★★★★☆
Villa Vagabonde is a family business, run by Wim and Veerle themselves. You can see that they really try hard to offer a luxurious and sustainable stay. The wines are from a local organic wine farm, the breakfast is from a local market and plastic is avoided as much as possible.
Value for money ★★★★★
One night is around 120 to 150€ per room. It is not a cheap shot, however, given its intimacy, location and size (again, just 3 rooms) it is a very good price. That is why Villa Vagabonde is almost always fully booked at least 4 months in advance. So you must be quick.
What we loved the most
Atmosphere – minimalistic interior design, tranquility and a beautiful outside poolside area make Villa Vagabonde a place to linger and find peace.
What we didn’t like so much
We have absolutely nothing to complain about
